解决方案-Perc5i安装失败-错误代码:E1A15

目前的点播服务器的阵列容量大约是600多GB,容量基本满了,考虑增加一台服务器做双机非对称热备。
把闲置的一个Dell PowerEdge 2950换装6块SAS硬盘,型号是希捷的300GB 15Krpm。拆除SAS5/i，安装Perc5/i(LSI controller)的时候前置面板提示出现故障。报错SAS CABLE B E1A15错误。自检的时候只检测到4块硬盘,CTRL+R也只能显示4块硬盘。

Google在dell的支持网站上查到到相关信息,原因是Perc5/i需要两根数据线，原文说是Installing SAS Controller Daughter Card,不知道具体该怎么翻译Daughter Card(子卡?)。
安装双数据线后成功,6块硬盘全部检测成功,做RAID5后完事。
